How do I sign up?
Head over to http://paywithmoon.com/signup.
What information do I need to sign up?
Create your Moon account with an email and password. Your 2FA codes will be sent to that email, so make sure you can access your email anytime.
What MFA/2FA method does Moon support?
Moon supports account verification via email only. Email account verification is not needed for "Log in with Google".
Can I create more than one (1) Moon account?
No. Each user may only have one account.
How do I login?
Head to paywithmoon.com/login.
How do virtual cards work?
Moon cards work just like regular cards—you can use them for online purchases wherever debit or credit cards are accepted.
Where can I use a virtual card?
You can use Moon cards almost anywhere that accepts credit or debit cards online.
What browsers does Moon support?
Moon supports all major browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge—on both desktop and mobile.
Does Moon Work on mobile devices?
Yes. You can use Moon on mobile through any major browser at https://paywithmoon.com.
Does Moon work on Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay mobile wallets?
Moon cards do not currently support Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay mobile wallets. Mobile wallet support is on the way!
What is Moon Credit?
Moon Credit is store credit you can use for purchases across the Moon platform.
What payment methods does Moon support?
We currently accept USDT on Tron, USDC on Polygon and BTC via on-chain and lightning network. More payment methods are on the way!
Can I use multiple wallets to purchase Moon credit?
This depends on your payment method:
Lightning Network Payments: No. You will be prompted to pay a lightning invoice of a fixed amount.
Bitcoin on chain, USDT on Tron, and USDC on Polygon: Yes. You will be prompted with an address and the amount of your token to send. As long as the sum of the amounts sent to that address add up to the required payment, you can send from multiple originating wallets.
You may also make multiple separate purchases of Moon credit, for each of which you may select a different payment method.
Can I use cash or a credit card to purchase a Moon card?
No. Moon cards can only be purchased with cryptocurrency—not cash or credit cards.
Can I receive a refund from Moon?
Certain products offered by Moon are non-refundable. For example, merchant gift cards cannot be refunded.
Moon Credit is refundable on a case-by-case basis. In order to submit a refund request for Moon Credit, please follow these steps:
1. From your dashboard on paywithmoon.com, click on "Moon Credit" at the top-right of your navigation bar.
2. Under Moon Credit, select "Request a Refund".
3. Follow the instructions to submit your request.
Please note that refunds are processed in Bitcoin and sent via BTC on-chain. Moon calculates the amount of Bitcoin to be refunded based on its dollar value at the time of the refund submission. This includes deducting any fees, including variable network and partner fees.
If your refund request is approved, the refund will likely be sent within five (5) business days of submission.
How can I track my off-platform refund request?
To track an off-platform refund, log in to your Moon account. From your dashboard on paywithmoon.com, click on "Moon Credit" at the top-right of your navigation bar, then check "Moon Credit Activity" for any pending refunds.
I submitted a refund request but have not received it yet. Where is my refund?
If you have not received your refund and it's been greater than five (5) business days, please contact us at [email protected] or chat with us. We'll be happy to look into it with you.
What are the fees associated with a refund?
Refunds are processed in Bitcoin minus network and partner fees.
Network fees are determined by the Bitcoin blockchain and vary depending on the network demand.
My off-platform refund is less than the minimum/more than the maximum. What can I do?

Are there any rules or restrictions on off-platform refund requests?
Some Moon products like merchant gift cards and Moon 1X cards are non-refundable. Please review the product terms before completing your purchase.
Moon Credit refunds are reviewed case-by-case and may include fees. All refunds are issued in on-chain Bitcoin. If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected] or chat with us.
What is the Moon X Card?
The Moon X Card is a card linked to your Moon Credit that enables you to shop at millions of merchants in over 130 countries.
How do I sign up for a Moon X Card?
Signing up for a Moon X Card is simple:
1. Create a Moon account.
2. Select "New Card".
3. In the list of cards, select "Moon X Card".
4. Follow the prompts to complete your purchase.
How do I fund my Moon X Card?
Your Moon X Card is tied directly with your Moon Credit. When you purchase Moon, it will instantly be available on your card.
Moon credit can be purchased with Bitcoin via on-chain or lightning, USDT on Tron, USDC on Polygon, or with your Moon Credit balance.
Are there any fees for the Moon X Card?
Your first Moon X Card is free. Each additional Moon X Card can be purchased for $2.99 per card.
There is a 1% fee on all purchases made with the Moon X Card, with a minimum of $1.00 fee per transaction.
We do not charge any FX or foreign transaction fees.
What are the minimums and maximums for Moon X Cards?
By default, your Moon X card has the following limits:
Card Creation:
10 cards daily, 30 cards monthly
Spend Limit:
$4,000 monthly across all cards
Purchase Limit:
Moon Credit - Daily: $10,000, Monthly: $30,000
You can view your limits, as well as your daily and monthly usage, under “Settings”-->“Limits” on your Moon dashboard.

How long is a Moon X Card valid?
Your Moon X Card is valid for three (3) years from the day it is purchased.
Can I have more than one Moon X Card?
Yes! Your first Moon X Card is free. Each additional card costs $2.99.
Can I add my Moon X Card to my mobile device/wallet?
Not yet. Mobile wallet support for the Moon X Card is coming soon.
Where can I shop with the Moon X Cards?
You can shop at millions of merchants in over 130 countries with your Moon X Card.
Are there any restricted merchants or purchase types with the Moon X Card?
Certain purchase categories are restricted.
Some merchants may be blocked at the discretion of Moon, but can become available to users via verification.

Why was my purchase declined?
Typically, purchases are declined for one of the following reasons:
- Card details are entered incorrectly.
- Insufficient balance (make sure you have enough balance to cover any fees or gratuity).
- Merchant does not accept the card.
- Merchant is in a restricted country or is in a restricted merchant category.
- If you’re using a warehouse, freight forwarder or reshipper address the merchant may decline your purchase.

What happens if I request a refund from a merchant?
Refund timing depends on the merchant’s policies. Merchant refunds can take up to 10 days to process, but most happen sooner.
Once the merchant processes your refund, it will be reflected in your Moon Credit balance and will be available for use again within Moon.
How can I track my Moon X Card activity?
All Moon X Card activity can be found under "Moon Credit Activity" on your account dashboard.
You can also select your card and see your transactions.
What is the Moon 1X Card?
The Moon 1X Card is a single-load prepaid card that lets you shop at millions of merchants across the US.
How do I sign up for a Moon 1X Card?
It's simple! Create a Moon account, click "New card", then select the Moon 1X Card to get started.
How do I fund my Moon 1X Card?
Moon 1X Cards can be purchased with Bitcoin via on-chain or lightning, USDT on Tron, USDC on Polygon, or with your Moon Credit balance.
Please note that the Moon 1X Card is NOT linked to your Moon Credit balance. It can only be funded once per card.
Are there any fees for the Moon 1X card?
Moon 1X Cards can be purchased for $1.49 for each card. There are no transaction fees on the Moon 1X Card.
What are the minimums and maximums for Moon 1X Cards?
The minimum for a Moon 1X Card is $5. The maximum is $1,000.
Please note that the monthly account maximum of $4,000 is across ALL card types. Your Moon 1X Card will also count in your monthly account maximum limit.
How long is a Moon 1X Card valid?
Moon 1X Cards are valid for two (2) months after purchase.
Can I have more than one Moon 1X Card?
Yes. You can purchase and hold multiple Moon 1X Cards at the same time.
Can I add my Moon 1X Card to my mobile device/wallet?
Not yet. Mobile wallet support for the Moon 1X Card is coming soon.
Where can I shop/pay with the Moon 1X Card?
You can use the Moon 1X Card at millions of U.S. merchants that accept debit or credit cards online.
Are there any restricted merchants or purchase types with the Moon 1X Card?

How do I redeem a branded gift card?
After purchasing your merchant gift card, Moon will provide redemption instructions. The redemption instructions vary per brand.
Can I reload or add money to my branded gift card?
No. Merchant gift cards can only be used until their balance is spent down.
Can I get a refund for a branded gift card?
Merchant gift cards are non-refundable.
Can I gift a branded gift card?
Not yet.
Can I add a branded gift card to my mobile device/wallet?
It depends on the brand, but that's outside the scope of our platform.
What are the minimums and maximums for branded gift cards?
Each merchant merchant gift card has its own limits. After you select the merchant gift card in Moon, you'll see the minimum and maximum amounts per brand before completing your purchase.
Can I have more than one branded gift card?
Yes, you can purchase multiple merchant gift cards. Please note that terms and limits apply—check your account settings to see the limits that apply to you.
What brands are available?
We regularly add new merchant gift cards. Check the gift card section in your dashboard to see the latest options.
Why was my purchase made with a branded gift card declined?
Typically, purchases are declined for one of the following reasons:
- Card details are entered incorrectly.
- Insufficient balance (make sure you have enough balance to cover any fees or potential gratuity).
- Merchant does not accept the card.
- Merchant is in a restricted country or is in a restricted merchant category.
- If you’re using a warehouse, freight forwarder or reshipper address the merchant may decline your purchase.
Moon is unable to assist in any returns, purchases or disputes relating to merchant gift cards. They must be handled between the you and the merchant. For more details, please see the terms and conditions of merchant gift cards.
How can I track my branded gift card activity?
Your Moon dashboard will only show the purchase of a merchant gift card purchase. For spending activity, please refer to the merchant’s balance or account page.
What happens if I return a purchase made with a branded gift card?
Refunds for merchant gift card purchases are handled by the merchant. Please check their refund policy for details.
Moon is unable to assist in any returns, purchases or disputes relating to merchant gift cards. They must be handled between the cardholder and the merchant.
How old do I have to be to use Moon?
You must be 18 or older in order to use Moon's products and services.
Can I use Moon from my country?

Moon and all of Moon's products are strictly prohibited from being accessed from sanctioned regions and countries.

All my purchases are failing. What now?
If every purchase attempt fails, please check that your Moon Credit balance is sufficient and that the merchant accepts prepaid cards. If the issue continues, please contact us at [email protected] or chat with us.
I made a mistake when purchasing a card. What are my options?
If you've purchased a Moon X card, the card balance is tied to your Moon Credits. You can request an Off Platform refund for your Moon Credits.
If you've purchased a Moon 1X card or merchant gift card, these cards can not be refunded or returned.
I'm not receiving a 2FA verification code. What's wrong?
First, check your spam/junk folder. If you still haven’t received your 2FA code, please ensure you have access to the email linked to your account. If the issue continues, please contact us at [email protected] or chat with us.
Why is Moon not letting me create an account?

Can I change the email address on my account?
Once your account is created, the email address cannot be changed. Please make sure you always have access to it.
How do I change my Moon account password?
Head to https://paywithmoon.com/login, select "Forgot Password" and follow the instructions to reset your password.
I believe my account is compromised. What can I do?
As Moon asks for limited information to create an account, it's vital that users protect their account information as best as they can. If you believe your email has been compromised, please contact your email provider. If you believe your Moon account has been compromised, please contact [email protected] as soon as possible.
