How do I login?

What MFA method do you support?

Moon supports account verification via email only. Email account verification is not needed for "Log in with Google".

What information do I need to sign up?

To create a Moon account you need to provide an email address and a password. The email address you use to create your account will be used to receive 2FA codes, so please ensure you do not lose access to your email inbox.

Can I create more than one (1) Moon account?

No. Each user may only have one account.

How It Works

How do virtual cards work?

Virtual cards are just like regular cards, except there is no physical plastic. By entering virtual card details where you would normally input your credit or debit card details, you can complete purchases without giving out your personal card details.

What browsers does Moon support?

Moon supports the following browsers, both on desktop and mobile:

  • Safari
  • Chrome
  • Firefox
  • Brave
  • Opera
  • DuckDuckGo

Does Moon work on mobile devices?

You can access paywithmoon.com via a mobile browser.

Does Moon work on Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay?

Moon cards do not currently support Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay mobile wallets.

What payment methods does Moon support?

Moon supports paying with Bitcoin on chain and via the lightning network. Moon also supports USDT TRC-20 payments. More payment methods will be added soon!

Can I use multiple wallets to purchase Moon credit?

This depends on your payment method:

  • Lightning Network Payments: No. You will be prompted to pay a lightning invoice of a fixed amount.
  • Bitcoin on chain: Yes. You will be prompted with a bitcoin address and an amount of bitcoin to send. As long as the sum of the amounts sent to that address add up to the required payment, you can send from multiple originating wallets.
  • USDT TRC-20: Yes; however, each individual USDT TRC-20 payment must be greater than $500. You will be prompted with a Tron address and an amount of USDT to send. As long as the sum of the amounts sent to that address add up to the required payment, and each amount sent to the address is greater than or equal to $500 at the prevailing exchange rate you can send from multiple originating wallets.
  • You may also make multiple separate purchases of Moon credit, for each of which you may select a different payment method.

What is Moon credit?

Moon Credit is store credit spendable across the Moon eCommerce platform and our various products and services.

Can I receive a refund from Moon?

Certain products offered by Moon are non-refundable. For example, branded gift cards are non-refundable.

Moon Credit is refundable on a case by case basis. In order to submit a refund request for Moon Credit, please follow these steps:

  1. From your dashboard on paywithmoon.com, click on "Moon Credit" at the top-right of your navigation bar.
  2. Under Moon Credit, select "Request a Refund".
  3. Follow the instructions to submit your request. 
  4. Please note that refunds are processed in Bitcoin and sent on chain. Moon calculates the amount of Bitcoin to be refunded based on its dollar value at the time of the refund submission. This includes deducting any fees, including variable network and partner fees. If your refund request is approved, the refund will likely be sent within five (5) business days of submission.

How can I track my off-platform refund request?

Here's how to track your off-platform refund:

  • Log in to your Moon account.
  • From your dashboard on paywithmoon.com, click on "Moon Credit" at the top-right of your navigation bar.
  • Under "Moon Credit Activity", you can see any pending off-platform refund requests you have. 

I submitted a refund request, but have not received a refund. Where is my refund?

Apologies for any delays. If you have not received your refund and it's been greater than five (5) business days, please message us at [email protected], or chat with us. We'll be happy to look into it with you.

What are the fees associated with a refund?

Refunds are processed in Bitcoin minus network and partner fees.

Network fees are determined by the Bitcoin blockchain and vary depending on the network demand.

Are there any rules or restrictions on refund requests?

Certain products offered by Moon are non-refundable. For example, branded gift cards are non-refundable.

Card product restrictions are displayed prior to purchasing a card product on Moon.

Refunds of Moon Credit are on a case by case basis and incur fees.

All refunds are processed in Bitcoin on chain.

What is the Moon X Card?

The Moon X Card is a card linked to your Moon Credit that enables you to shop at millions of merchants in over 130 countries.

How do I sign up for a Moon X Card?

It's simple:

  1. Create a Moon account.
  2. Select "New Card".
  3. In the list of cards, select "Moon X Card."
  4. Follow the prompts to complete the sign up process.

How do I fund my Moon X Card?

Your Moon X Card is linked to your Moon Credit balance. Any charges to the card will be deducted from your Moon Credit balance. To purchase Moon Credit, please see “What payment methods does Moon support?“.

Where can I shop/pay with the Moon X Card?

You can shop at millions of merchants in over 130 countries.

You may not use the card with merchants billing from or located in: Afghanistan, Albania, Belarus, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, China, Crimea Region of Ukraine, Croatia, Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Donetsk People’s Republic Region of Ukraine, Ethiopia, Greece, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Kenya, Kosovo, Lebanon, Libya, Luhansk People’s Republic Region of Ukraine, Macedonia, Mali, Moldavia, Monaco, Montenegro, Montserrat, Mozambique, Myanmar / Burma, Namibia, Nicaragua, Nigeria, North Korea / Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Panama, Philippines, Romania, Russia, Senegal, Serbia, Slovenia, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, Venezuela, Vietnam, Yemen, Zimbabwe.

Are there any restricted merchants or purchase types with the Moon X Card?

Certain purchases are prohibited depending on the specific product or service provided. You agree to consult the underlying terms of each product or service prior to use. These prohibited purchases include, but may not be limited to:

  • Wires, Money Orders
  • Outbound Telemarketing Merchants
  • Direct Marketing services
  • Security Brokers/Dealers and associated activities
  • Dating & Escort Services
  • Massage Parlors
  • Betting/Casino Gambling
  • Foreign Currency, Non-Fiat Currency
  • Government Owned Lotteries
  • Government Licensed Online Casinos (Online Gambling)
  • Government Licensed Horse/Dog Racing
  • Horse Racing, Dog Racing and Non-Sport Internet Gaming
  • Manual Cash Disbursements
  • Automated Cash Disbursements

This list does not represent the entirety of prohibited activity. Moon reserves the right to update and revise terms as it sees fit, and Customers should additionally consult the specific terms of any product or service purchased on Moon for any other restrictions.

Can I use the Moon X Card from anywhere in the world?

Moon X Cards can be used in over 130 countries, but are not available in some restricted regions.

Can I have more than one Moon X Card?

Yes! Your first Moon X Card is free. Each additional card costs $2.99.

How long is a Moon X Card valid?

Your Moon X Card is valid for three (3) years from the day it is created.

What are the minimums and maximums for Moon X Cards?

You can spend up to $4,000 USD per month on your Moon X Card.

Are there any fees for the Moon X card?

The Moon X Card is spendable in over 130 countries and we do not charge any FX fees or foreign transaction fees. There is a 1% fee on all purchases you make with the Moon X Card, with a minimum of $1.00 fee per transaction.

How can I track my Moon X Card activity?

Your Moon X Card transactions will appear as a list on your dashboard. You can also select your card and see your transactions.

What happens if I request a refund from a merchant?

When you request a refund from a merchant, the timing of your refund will depend on the terms provided by the merchant. Once the merchant has processed your refund in full, the refund will be applied to your Moon Credit and can then be used again within Moon.

If you have not received a refund that you are expecting, first confirm with the merchant that the refund has been issued. If the refund still does not appear in your dashboard, please contact support.

Why was my purchase declined?

Typically, purchases are declined for one of the following reasons:

  • Card details are entered incorrectly.
  • Insufficient balance (make sure you have enough balance to cover any fees or potential gratuity).
  • Merchant does not accept the card.
  • Merchant is in a restricted country or is in a restricted merchant category.
  • If you’re using a warehouse, freight forwarder or reshipper address the merchant may decline your purchase.
  • If none of these apply, message us via chat or at [email protected], and we'll have a look with you.

Moon 1X Card

What is the Moon 1X Card?

The Moon 1X Card is a single-load card that enables you to shop at millions of merchants across the US.

How is the Moon 1X Card different than the Moon X Card?

There are a few unique features of the Moon 1X Card:

  • It's single-load: you add funds to it once. It's non-reloadable.
  • You can add a maximum of $1,000 per card.
  • It's available for users in the US.
  • It is non-refundable.
  • It can be used to shop at millions of US merchants.

How do I sign up for a Moon 1X Card?

It's simple:

  1. Create a Moon account.
  2. Select "New Card".
  3. In the list of cards, select "Moon 1X Card".
  4. Review the Terms & Conditions and click "Purchase card now".
  5. Follow the steps to complete your purchase.

How do I fund my Moon 1X Card?

Moon 1X Cards can be purchased with Bitcoin via on-chain or lightning, USDT, or with your Moon Credit balance.

NOTE: The Moon 1X Card is NOT linked to your Moon Credit balance. It can only be funded once per card.

After selecting the card and clicking "Purchase card now", follow the next steps to choose your payment method and complete your purchase.

Where can I shop/pay with the Moon 1X Card?

You can shop at millions of merchants in the US with the Moon 1X Card.

Are there any restricted merchants or purchase types with the Moon 1X Card?

Purchases at merchants outside the US, or merchants who process payments from outside the US, will not work.

How long is a Moon 1X Card valid?

Moon 1X Cards are valid for two (2) months after purchase.

What are the minimums and maximums for Moon 1X Cards?

The minimum for a Moon 1X Card is $5. The maximum is $1,000.

Please note that the monthly account maximum of $4,000 is across ALL card types. Your Moon 1X Card will count against your monthly account maximum limit.

Are there any fees for the Moon 1X card?

There are currently no fees for the Moon 1X Card.

How can I track my Moon 1X Card activity?

Your Moon 1X Card transactions will appear as a list on your dashboard. You can also select your card and see your transactions.

What happens if I request a refund from a merchant?

Branded Gift Cards

How do I redeem a branded gift card?

After purchasing your branded gift card, Moon will provide redemption instructions. The redemption instructions vary per brand.

Can I reload or add money to my branded gift card?

No; branded gift cards can only be spent down.

Can I get a refund on a branded gift card?

Gift cards are non-refundable.

Can I add a branded gift card to my mobile device/wallet?

This depends on the brand and is outside the scope of our platform.

What are the minimums and maximums for branded gift cards?

Each brand has its own limits. After you select the branded gift card in Moon, you'll see the minimum and maximum amounts that may be purchased for that card under the card art.

Can I have more than one branded gift card?

Yes! You may purchase multiple branded gift cards. Terms, conditions and limits apply. Please see the limits in your settings to see relevant limits.

What branded gift cards are available for purchase?

Moon is always adding new branded gift cards to the platform. Please log in and click "New Card" to see available cards.

How can I track my branded gift card activity?

You won't see the purchases made with your branded gift cards in Moon. Some cards will show remaining balances on the redemption website after clicking on the redemption link.

You will see the purchases of branded gift cards in Moon in your activity feed or by clicking on a specific branded gift card.

What happens if I return a purchase made with branded gift card?

When you request a refund, your refund will depend on the terms of the merchant. Generally, this means your funds will return to your branded gift card.

Moon is unable to assist in any returns, purchases or disputes relating to branded gift cards and must be handled between the cardholder and the merchant.

Why was my purchase made with a branded gift card declined?

Typically, purchases are declined for one of the following reasons:

  • Card details are entered incorrectly.
  • Insufficient balance (make sure you have enough balance to cover any fees or potential gratuity).
  • Merchant does not accept the card.
  • Merchant is in a restricted country or is in a restricted merchant category.
  • If you’re using a warehouse, freight forwarder or reshipper address the merchant may decline your purchase.

How old do I have to be to use Moon?

You must be 18 or older in order to use our products and services.

Can I use Moon from my country?

Not all Moon products are available in all countries. Please see the terms and conditions of the product for more details, or contact the customer success team at [email protected].

Moon and all of Moon's products are strictly prohibited from being accessed from sanctioned regions and countries.

Troubleshooting & Account Management

I'm not receiving a 2FA verification code. What's wrong?

Moon sends a 2FA verification code via email to the email address you used to register for Moon. First, check your spam folder and recipient settings from your email provider to ensure the email is not being blocked or marked as spam. If everything looks in order, please contact [email protected] for further help.

Why is Moon not letting me create an account?

There are some restrictions to creating an account. Please review our Terms & Conditions for more information. If you believe this is in error, message us at [email protected].

Can I change the email address on my account?

You cannot change your email address after your account has been created.

How do I change my Moon account password?

Head to paywithmoon.com/login. Then select "Forgot Password" under the login form and follow the instructions. IMPORTANT: You must have a working, accessible email address to reset your password.

I believe my account is compromised. What can I do?

As Moon asks for limited information to create an account, it's vital that users protect their account information as best as they can. If you believe your email has been compromised, please contact your email provider. If you believe your Moon account has been compromised, please contact [email protected] as soon as possible.

How do I delete my account?

Message [email protected] or [email protected], and a Moon Team Member will assist you with your request.

All my purchases are failing. What now?

In the rare case that none of your purchase attempts are successful, we'd love to get in touch to help! Message us at [email protected] and help us learn from your experience.

I made a mistake when purchasing a card. What are my options?

If you mistakenly purchased a branded gift card, unfortunately gift cards are non-refundable and we are unable to assist you.
